Notes Introduction to 2018 E-dition
Welcome to Eight Arms To Hold You | remastered. Since its publication in 2000, there have been many requests for a revised edition and today used copies sell for inflated amounts on the secondhand market (as many of you may have experienced). With that in mind, we’ve decided to make the original available again, digitally, since there is still a demand for it, and feel it is important to have our work “out there” in the brave new world of book distribution.

What began as a cleaned-up version - fixing a few mistakes, misspellings and punctuation errors - has turned into 25,000 or so new words. However, to keep the indexing in order, we removed roughly the same amount of old and incorrect words! "Eight Arms" still only covers up through 2000, but we've applied another 18 years of research to the existing manuscript - a true case of "If we knew then, what we know now."

(From the back cover of the 2000 edition)
Eight Arms To Hold You: The Solo Beatles Compendium is the ultimate look at the careers of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr beyond the Beatles. Every aspect of he their professional careers as solo artists is explored, from recording sessions, record releases and tours, to television, film and music videos, including everything in between. From their early film soundtrack work to the officially released retrospectives, all solo efforts by the four men are exhaustively examined.

Not only are John, Paul, George and RIngo's official projects investigated in detail, along with the events surrounding their recording and release, but the best available sources for each are specified. This same approach is used to profile the unissued recordings and performances by all four - both bootlegged and in private circulation.

Original printing of 3,000 copies. Paperback edition is permanently out-of-print. An updated electronic edition was published in 2018. A promotional hardback edition of ten copies was produced in 2015.
